I Heard the Lord say, for the Body – “Beware the Hook!”
Recently while just communing with the Lord, I heard a resounding warning in my Spirit: “Beware the hook!”
I was talking with the Lord while doing some chores around the house, and my belt-loop on my pants got “hooked” on the door handle. I didn’t think much of it, and kept chatting with the Lord about what was on His heart, and I heard Him say this phrase, “Beware the hook!” with an intense, urgent tone. I realized that the Lord wasn’t just talking about what had happened to my belt-loop, but what was happening in the hearts of many of the Body of Christ in this time.
The Lord has commissioned us to RULE and to REIGN as Kings and Priests upon the Earth (Revelation 5:10). As we learn to rise up in this given authority, we cannot have any “hooks” holding us back or keeping us from the purity of our call.
We can no longer be tethered to our old nature. We MUST know our identity in Jesus.
We cannot be tethered to old religious ideas.
We cannot be tethered to old relationships or alignments that the Lord has asked us to move on from.
We cannot live in unforgiveness, bitterness or resentment.
We simply can’t have anything that will make us trip in the race set before us.
Hebrews 12:1-2: Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
He has also been speaking to me about our MOUTHS. We absolutely cannot allow any breaches in the Spirit. We cannot tolerate lies, exaggerations or deception coming from our own mouths.
Proverbs 15:4: A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
We MUST NOT allow any places in our lives for the enemy to land or build or get through. No breaches.
The Lord reminded me of the book of Joshua, as Joshua led the people to take the Promised Land. They went in, they conquered, and as the whole book of Joshua states over and over again, “they left no enemy survivors.” The Lord is calling us to be like Joshua, and not like the kings of old who did great things for the Lord yet refused to remove the “high places” of idolatry (1, 2 Chronicles and 1, 2 Kings).
Everything is about to change. The world, as we currently know it, is rapidly altering. We, as Kings and Priests of Christ, must be ready. Unlike Joshua having to first spy out and then take the Promised Land, we have already been given our Promise in our beautiful Jesus. But to properly administrate His Kingdom on earth, we cannot find ourselves in a place of idolatry, orphan mentality, pride, fear, doubt and unbelief or even doing things in our own strength.
Every high place MUST come down.
Every idol in our hearts removed.
Every demonic enemy to our freedom has already been destroyed by Jesus (Colossians 2:15), and now we must ruthlessly renounce agreements we made that keep these enemies empowered in our lives.
Psalm 18:37: I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed.
Luke 9:23: Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
The beautiful promise is that when we return to that yielded place of Lordship in Him, where He becomes our EVERYTHING, we have all that we need to remove the hooks and idols in our lives. He is so gracious with us, and through His Holy Spirit and our ongoing abiding in Him, we are utterly empowered to do everything He asks.
1 John 3:24 (DLNT): And the one keeping His commandments is abiding in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He is abiding in us: from the Spirit Whom He gave to us.
Beware the hooks. Don’t allow anything to “catch you” as doors open and close in this coming time in history. You are an heir of Christ, and a King and Priest commissioned to govern on behalf of the Kingdom of Light, and you are called to STAND.
And I am standing with you, friends. For KING JESUS!!!
