As the decade turns...where is your HEART positioned? I cannot escape this question, even for myself.
I actually hear Jesus knocking on the door of many hearts. For some, it's a "welcome back" knock. For others, a first time "welcome home." And yet for others, it's a "come up higher with Me...there's a whole world higher that you have not known."
Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20 ESV). He longs for you.
Whether you have never made the decision to follow Him, or whether you have once lived for Him and are now far from home. Whether you are angry at Him therefore distant, or whether you are just at a place where you've been "maintaining" and need to come up higher. HE'S WAITING.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE, AND NOTHING YOU'VE DONE IS TOO BAD! You can't fix your own broken world, only JESUS can. And He longs to do so, regardless of where you're at. JESUS TRANSFORMS. He doesn't just forgive and cover, He makes all things NEW. Yes, even YOU.
Will you answer Him today and let Him in? Will you choose to go higher in 2020?
Drink deeply of the pleasures of this God. Experience for yourself the joyous mercies he gives to all who turn to hide themselves in him.
